Hey everyone, we're going to briefly walk through the new instant enrich functionality for Salesforce. There are a couple prerequisites before enabling this functionality. 1: having an active Salesforce integration must be enabled and 2: having the data import two way sync for Salesforce also enabled.
There are a few specific permissions needed for the data import, and we can pass those along to you. The enrich functionality, once enabled, is going to be activated up at the top toolbar. This is going to be active for admins only, and once that is activated, the admins can come in here and create and configure enrichment jobs.
As you can see on the dashboard, there's some high level metrics across the top here that will refer to all of the enrichment jobs that are being created. You can see we have one enrichment job that is active right now, and we're going to create a new enrichment job here. When creating enrichment jobs, we do have the ability to create enrichment jobs on three standard Salesforce objects: leads, contacts and accounts. For this example, we're going to create a leads enrichment job. There are three steps to configuring an enrichment job, one being naming the account. And the second, probably the most important is going to be the trigger for enrichment.
So there are two options for a trigger one being enrich, all leads that are created in your Salesforce instance, or the other, we can filter to specific leads that are being created in your Salesforce instance, based off of certain Salesforce fields. So in this case, I want to enrich only the leads that meet this lead source criteria of demo request.
And these are going to be based off of your Salesforce fields. In this specific example, lead source is a pick list. So you can see the pick lists that are available for that certain field. If you were to add a different field, potentially for location the value box here would be a free text field.
And you can enter in any values you'd like to filter to. Once the filter criteria is determined, the third step is going to be the field mapping. So just like our Salesforce integration, this is going to be our Cognism fields mapped to your Salesforce fields. By default, this is going to follow what you have configured for your native Salesforce integration.
These are going to be unique to each enrichment job, and these can be customized for each enrichment job, and they won't have any effect on your native Salesforce integration for the prospector. One thing I do recommend is adding a Cognism source field to your Salesforce instance and mapping a static value of Cognism.
This will help us identify any leads that are being enriched by us. Just help you segment and see the value of the data we're adding for specific leads. Now there's always the option to create some custom field mappings, as well as static values that can be mapped to certain Salesforce fields. I'm going to go ahead and create this job, and that is essentially the, , all of the configuration that needs to take place for creating a job.
The final step would be activating this job. So now that the job is active, any leads that get created in Salesforce and meet that filter criteria will be enriched with Cognism data. The value here is going to be getting high quality data in the hands of the go to market teams as quick as possible so they can action it.
Whether that be an SDR team that can start calling prospects at a quicker, more efficient rate, or for marketing teams who need to strategize for an upcoming campaign. The quickness of the functionality is going to see your teams become more efficient, but at the end of the day the quality of the data that we're providing for these leads are going to provide your teams with the most value.
